Choosing a fitted rim
A fitted rim is the wooden ring that finishes the top of a woven basket. Each rim is slotted so it fits onto the top of your woven basket. Williams Family Mill makes fitted rims in round, oval and square shapes in Burgaw, North Carolina.
Round fitted rims and square fitted rims come in sizes from 2 to 9 inches. Every rim is 1/2 inch thick, with a slot 1/4 inch deep. Oval fitted rims come in a range of sizes too, and you can contact us if the size you want is not listed. You can choose ambrosia maple, cherry, maple or walnut.
Match the rim to the shape and size of your slotted base: a 6 inch round base takes a 6 inch round rim. Custom round sizes can be made on request for an additional fee.
