About specialty bases
Specialty bases go beyond the standard round, oval and square. They are carved, inlaid or shaped for a particular use, and they turn an ordinary weaving project into a showpiece. Williams Family Mill makes them in Burgaw, North Carolina.
This collection includes Lotus Blossom, an African mahogany slotted base inlaid with wavy maple, the Double Tier Lazy Susan in walnut, the patriotic God Bless America base with a flag cut to look as if it is blowing in the wind, the Flower Burst holographic base, and a Miniature Basket Tree Stand for displaying a small woven basket at Christmas.
Some designs are produced in limited supply, so check the product page for sizes. For carved and inlaid slotted designs, see our specialty slotted bases. For everyday sizes, see the slotted basket bases.
